i asked God for a sign --
something to assure me
that her spirit was not shoved
under the ground with her tiny body --
I was the barn beside an old road,
stuffed with hay and cats and oats
filled with rays of sunshine,
spiders on all my wooden bones.
Into my bed, I fall out
Of my life
It hurts, to feel this
Endless void.
i need the reminder that what once was
will become again
that what is hidden will be seen
that the soul i once held and carried
and will be mine in my arms again

Parents of lost babies and potential of all kinds: come here to share the technicolour, the vividness, the despair, the heart-broken-open, the compassion we learn for others, having been through this mess — and see it reflected back at you, acknowledged and understood.
Thanks to photographer Xin Li and to artist Stephanie Sicore for their respective illustrations and photos.
